Duties

The mortgage loan originator is responsible for obtaining and processing mortgage loan applications, including credit reports, appraisals and documentation of loans. This position will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of all documents required by the lender as well as providing guidance on how best to record these documents into our lending system.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Obtain and approve mortgage loan documents.
  • Review existing collateral to ensure that it is in compliance with lender requirements, verifying signatures are complete prior to closing or finalizing any changes necessary to obtain an approved loan from the lender.
  • Assign credit checks on each loan application as needed by the lender.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mortgage loan originator
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have excellent communication skills
