Duties
The motor transport driver is responsible for transporting and delivering goods to customers in the United States. This position requires an individual who can safely operate a motor vehicle, including but not limited to trailers, vans and tractor-trailers.
Detailed job duties include:
- Transport goods to and from destinations.
- Attend all safety meetings.
- Reports any vehicle damage.
- Operate vehicles safely while driving for long periods (up to 8 hours).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Complete daily logs including but not limited only to: fueling tanker inspections and maintenance checks.
- Maintain accurate records.
Qualification
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement and clean driving record, as required by state law
- Ability to drive an automatic transmission vehicle is preferred
