Overview
We are looking for an occupancy specialist to join our team. Our goal is to provide the best possible service in the industry through exceptional customer service. The position will be located at one of our offices in San Francisco or Los Angeles with access to over 100 locations across the United States. This role requires excellent communication skills as well strong organizational skills.
Duties
The occupancy specialist is responsible for the management of a diverse population. The person in this position will be responsible to provide assistance with community housing needs as well as providing support services within an assigned area. In addition, this individual must have experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, including but not limited to building maintenance/repairs, construction administration and general contracting. This person should also possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Detailed job duties include:
- Provide a variety of services to residents and their families.
- Analyze the needs, concerns and requirements for housing units in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide information on how accommodations can be made or implemented by an owner/manager as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Review all documentation related directly to occupancy issues (e.g: leases, rent payments, etc).
- Provide assistance when necessary regarding resident accommodation requests.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an occupancy specialist with the ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working for large corporations is preferred
- Ability to perform basic math skills (ie: multiplication, division, fractions)
- Strong analytical abilities and strong verbal communications skills are desirable
