Duties

The operations supervisor is responsible for the overall management of all operations related to the company. This includes, but is not limited to, managing and supervising employees in their assigned area, providing leadership on operational issues that may impact business objectives or results and leading staff with internal/external projects as well as other departments within the organization while maintaining high standards of quality control.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Supervise the operations of a manufacturing facility.
  • Supervise all aspects of production and maintenance activities, including but not limited solely to: scheduling, budgeting, inventory control and quality assurance.
  • Manage staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop work plans for each project.
  • Planning/directing personnel on projects as needed.
  • Monitor performance against established standards.
  • Provide direction regarding new initiatives that will improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain operational excellence through continuous improvement programs.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a supervisory position with an emphasis on operations management and/or quality control (QC)
  • Experience working within the manufacturing industry is preferred but not required
  • Must be detail-oriented to ensure quality standards are met at all times while maintaining high levels of professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills including ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
