Duties
The operations technician is responsible for the operation of a variety of equipment and systems. This includes maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, installation, service and support in all areas related to operations. Duties include computerized data entry system, network monitoring, security and other technical services as needed. The individual in this position will be required to operate various types of devices and assist in maintaining inventory levels, operating computers and performing basic hardware repairs on machines/systems.
Detailed job duties include:
- Operate a variety of equipment, including oil and gas turbines, diesel generators, hydraulic pumps, air compressors, power plants and water heaters.
- Perform routine maintenance on the system to ensure that all components are working properly in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate records for each component as well as maintain inventory levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Complete daily reports using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Qualification
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field preferred, but not required
- Must be at least 18 years old and have an active driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations within the past 5 years
- No drug/alcohol related conviction for driving while under the influence
- Ability to work independently as well on multiple projects
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills are essential
