As an optometric technician, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by performing all aspects of our optical services including testing new lenses, fitting frames, cleaning glasses, etc.

Duties

The optometric technician is responsible for providing a high level of patient care and service to patients by performing eye exams, testing lenses and other procedures. This position requires the ability to work with all types or levels of people within an organization that has been established as a leading provider of optometric services. In addition, this person must be comfortable using computers and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Perform a variety of optical procedures including: eye exams, lensometry and contact lens fitting.
  • Ensure that the patient is properly informed about their vision needs by providing accurate information to them in an efficient manner while maintaining good customer relations with patients.
  • Provide excellent customer service through communication between physicians and optometrists as well other staff members on all aspects related to the opticians’ work.
  • Maintain professional appearance at all times.
