As a product owner, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept through launch. You’ll have the responsibility to create new features and enhancements on existing products or changes within the business model.
Duties
The product owner is responsible for the development and implementation of a product that will be used to support business needs. This role requires an understanding of how products are built, their features and their impact on customer satisfaction.
Detailed job duties include:
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for the product.
- Work with product owners to define requirements, develop user stories and communicate using clear language.
- Create an understanding of how products work together.
- Build relationships between stakeholders across multiple functional areas.
- Lead cross-functional teams on project management processes including planning, scheduling, budgeting and more.
- Manage team members’ timeframes, prioritize tasks and deliverables.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a product owner with at least 5 years working on product development projects
- Experience developing user stories for large scale enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of the business process from concept to launch
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools
