The ideal candidate must have experience working at a manufacturing facility or similar production setting.
Duties
The production assembler is responsible for the assembly of a variety of products. This includes manufacturing, packaging, labeling, finishing, testing and other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met at all times. Must be capable of working independently on multiple projects simultaneously and have excellent communication skills (verbal/written).
Detailed job duties include:
- Perform all assembly and testing of equipment.
- Ensure that the product meets quality standards and specifications are met by manufacturing staff as well to ensure proper production procedures have been followed.
- Identify defects or problems with parts.
- Ensure safety precautions when performing work on machinery.
- Maintain accurate records regarding labor costs and performance levels at each stage of the process.
- Follow instructions from supervisor/manager concerning working conditions during operation.
Qualification
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Must have good communication skills with both internal and external customers
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of quality control
- Effective time management abilities
- Demonstrated ability to multitask
- Working knowledge of assembly equipment is preferred.
- Flexibility when dealing with other departments is desired
