Overview
We are a growing manufacturing company that is looking for an experienced production lead to join our team. The person in this position will be responsible for production and responsible to ensure quality standards are met by each product or service provided. The ideal candidate must have experience with both manual and automatic processes as well as strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Duties
The production lead is responsible for the production of products in a variety of formats. This includes fabrication, packaging, shipping and more. The production lead will be responsible to ensure that quality standards are met, as well as maintaining accurate records on every product. This position requires an individual who can work independently with minimal supervision or oversight while working under tight deadlines. In addition, this person must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Detailed job duties include:
- Lead the production team in identifying and managing all aspects of product development, including but not limited to: production planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality control and inventory management.
- Analyze customer needs for products by reviewing requirements and making recommendations on improvements that may be necessary.
- Perform daily plant inspections.
- Provide technical support with project schedules and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Maintain accurate records regarding work orders.
- Review invoices from customers.
- Complete monthly reports (including tracking progress).
- Monitor equipment performance against company standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a production lead with an emphasis on manufacturing and/or industrial automation preferred
- Experience managing multiple projects at one time
- Strong communication skills are essential
- Ability to multitask well under pressure will be helpful
