Duties
The psychotherapist is responsible for providing services to clients in a variety of settings. This includes counseling, education and support; treatment planning/treatment; case management; evaluations, referrals and more. The therapist will be responsible for the development of therapeutic interventions that are appropriate to client needs and goals as well as developing effective strategies to achieve them.
Detailed job duties include:
- Provide psychotherapy services to clients in a variety of settings.
- Provide counseling services for individuals with mental health or substance use disorders as well as other types of treatment that are consistent with a client’s required goals and objectives.
- Provide therapy support through individual consultation.
- Analyze patient needs by providing information about their condition, symptoms and lifestyle changes.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, psychiatry or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an adult psychotherapist with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting
- Must be licensed by the state licensure board
