Duties
The registered nurse is responsible for providing primary care to patients in the pediatrics department. This position will be based out of our hospital and may require travel between hospitals, clinics or other locations as needed. In addition, this role requires an ability with computers that allows you access to patient information on a computer system. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detailed job duties include:
- Provide comprehensive, integrated care to patients in a pediatric setting.
- Develop and implement patient education plans.
- Provide direct clinical nursing services, including assessment of children, physical examination, medical history, laboratory tests and referral to appropriate specialists/specialists when necessary.
- Perform routine assessments on all aspects of child development.
Qualification
- Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of California
- Current licensure by the American Board for Registered Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a registered nurse required
- Experience providing care under supervision
